The Story

With Son of a Painter, Cam is carrying on the family painting tradition. His father's values of providing high quality painting services and honest pricing have been deeply ingrained. There is a certain pride that comes with a satisfied customer and a job well done. Cam is not happy until you're happy.

Cam's father, Roy Mollard, was a professional painter for more than 40 years. He worked hard every day to provide a good livelihood for his family and quality results for his clients. This is the framework Cam continues to work with today. Integrity and hard work.

Roy Mollard

To give you an idea of Roy's tenacity, in the mid-1960s he was charged with painting the inside of a huge aircraft hangar in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. This building had dozens of enormous windows lining an entire wall of the hangar. Hundreds, perhaps thousands of small panes were all divided by thin wooden mullions. They all needed to be painted. Rather than be annoyed with the project Roy taught himself how to paint very precisely with his left hand so he could complete the job faster and more efficiently.

The last 30 years of his working life were spent at Inco in Thompson, Manitoba where he painted commercial, industrial and residential buildings belonging to the mine.
